About the AWS
The AWS exists to promote the art of magic and meets every Tuesday in the Southampton area. Various membership categories are available; a number of our members are full time, professional magicians. Many amateur performers belong to the Society as well a large number for whom magic is simply a hobby.

Our Library
The Society keeps a well stocked library consisting of many books and videos from which any member can borrow, some of our books are over a hundred years old! Our collection of books and videos ranges from beginner level right through to those suitable for experts. Many of our books and tapes are about magic generally, others deal with specific areas such as card magic, stage magic etc. while others relate to the allied arts, such as juggling and puppetry.

During the year the Society is involved in many events including:

Sale and exchange evenings - a chance to buy and sell magical props.
At every meeting you'll find a large number of magicians willing to have a chat and share ideas, and of course, have the opportunity to learn from the lectures, enjoy the competitions or buy new magical effects, depending on the evening's programme.
